VPK VOUCHER PROGRAM

The Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Education Program is Florida's free prekindergarten program that prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK vouchers help cover the cost of K4 education at Dunnellon Christian Academy. Parents can apply for VPK vouchers through the Early Learning Coalition of Marion County.

How to Apply for VPK Vouchers:

  • Visit the Early Learning Coalition of Marion County website
  • Complete the VPK application online or in person
  • Provide required documentation (child's birth certificate, proof of residency, etc.)
  • Select Dunnellon Christian Academy as your VPK provider

DCA K-4 tuition is $4,500 plus VPK voucher

The VPK voucher significantly reduces your out-of-pocket costs for K4 education.

STEP UP FOR STUDENTS PROGRAM

Step Up For Students proudly offers the Private School Scholarship that covers tuition and fees at eligible private schools, and any remaining funds can be used to support your child's education through expenses like registration, books, testing and other approved fees. Students, regardless of household income, who are residents of Florida and eligible to enroll in a K-12 public school, can receive a scholarship worth an average of $8,000 to attend a private school that best meets their needs. These scholarships are available through the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program (FTC) and the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO).

DCA SCHOLARSHIPS

DCA INCOME-BASED SCHOLARSHIP

All students grades kindergarten through 8th who are residents of Florida qualify for one of the Florida School Choice Scholarships. https://www.stepupforstudents.org/ Your family may be eligible for an additional DCA Income-Based Scholarship based on the following parameters:

Household Income Guidelines for DCA Scholarship Eligibility

Families may qualify for the scholarship if their annual household income is at or below the Reduced-Price Lunch guidelines.

DCA guidelines

Income tax returns for all persons living in the household or shared custody families must be provided. Scholarship packet must be requested during the admissions process.

Annual Income Limits (Reduced-Price Lunch – 185% of Federal Poverty Level)

  • • 1 person household: up to $28,953
  • • 2 person household: up to $39,128
  • • 3 person household: up to $49,303
  • • 4 person household: up to $60,478

For each additional person: add about $9,509 to the annual income limit.

Applications are accepted year-round. Apply early to ensure your spot for the upcoming school year.

Step Up For Students

Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend applying as early as possible.

Eligibility Requirements

VPK Vouchers

  • Child must be 4 years old by September 1st
  • Florida resident
  • Complete application with required documents
  • Available for both school-year and summer programs

Step Up For Students

Scholarships are available to all students, regardless of household income, who are residents of Florida and eligible to enroll in a K-12 public school.

Scholarships are awarded in the following order of priority:

  1. Students who are renewing their Private School Scholarship (FTC or FES-EO)
  2. Students whose household income does not exceed 185% of federal poverty level as outlined in the income priority guidelines or who are in foster care or out-of-home care
  3. Students whose household income is between 185% and 400% of the federal poverty level as outlined in the income priority guidelines

DCA Scholarships

  • Available to children in K5 and above
  • Based on financial need and availability
  • Complete application with all required documentation
